COVID-19: You can still use CA online and on the phone
COVID-19 has closed down most of the Danish society. CA is closed for all activities at all CA offices. But we are still available online and on the telephone.
19 March 2020
All career consultations and all mandatory meetings will be held over the phone at least until Easter (see more below).
We are also cancelling all activities wich are taking place in CA's offices. We will instead provide more online courses and telephone counselling.
All membership activities in CA are cancelled
The cancellation of our membership activities will take place with effect from Thursday 12 March and – until further notice - through Easter - that is, until 14 April. This applies to
- Courses and workshops
- After-work meetings
- and other major meetings for members.
Anyone who has already signed up for such events during this period, will be notified in writing that the event has been cancelled.
CA's online job search courses will continue to be available
Please note that a number of our job search courses are online and will be available.
Feedback on applications and coverletters
You can book a phone consultation with a career counsellor. The meeting lasts 15-20 minutes and aims to briefly answer some of the questions about your job search or maybe some general feedback on your master CV/cover letter. There is a limited number of calls available each week. Book one by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mandatory meetings will be held by phone
As a recipient of unemployment benefits, you must be available to the labour market and participate in the mandatory talks and meetings held by the a-kasser and the Jobcenters.
So we will continue to call unemployed members to mandatory CV-meetings and Availability Assessment Meetings. but they will be held by phone - at least until Easter.
CA's career counselling will be held by phone
Career advice from our career counsellors will still be available in the period up to Easter. However, physical meetings at CA's offices will be replaced by career counselling over the phone.
Anyone who has already booked career counselling before Easter will be contacted about the change.
We constantly monitor the situation
CA will continuously assess whether additional action is needed in order to limit the risks and protect our members and employees so that we can continue to carry out our societal work whatever happens. And of course, we keep up with recommendations from the authorities. Therefore, for the moment we cannot say what will happen to our courses and other member activities/services after Easter. It will depend on the recommendations from the authorities at that time.
